Gearbox Warranty

All Gearboxes supplied come with the following comprehensive guarantees

Supply only Reconditioned

Gearboxes supplied by us come with a 12 month warranty, unless otherwise stated. Please be aware that any gearbox fitted incorrectly, any auxiliary parts not checked or replaced if faulty may result in warranty being void.

The company does not accept responsibility for removal/fitting costs on supplied gearboxes the gearbox will need to be returned by the client to our premises for inspection

Salvage/second hand

Salvage gearboxes come with a 3,000 miles OR 3 months warranty. Please be aware that any gearbox fitted incorrectly, any auxiliary parts not checked or replaced if faulty may result in warranty being void. The company does not accept responsibility for removal / fitting costs on supplied gearboxes the gearbox will need to be return by the client to our premises for inspection

Running-in guidelines

For the first 1000 miles after your transmission has been reconditioned you will need to follow the below guidelines all the new components inside the transmission such as seals, frictions and pistons need to bed down

• When vehicle transmission is reconditioned by us it will need to be reset (transmission control module TCM) what this does is reset all pressures inside transmission and any memorised gear changes.
• The vehicle will need to be driven in a slow manner ensuring the rpm of the engine does not exceed 3,500
• The vehicle must not be driven at high speeds (90mph+)
• Do not use the kick down function on the vehicle i.e. plant your foot to the floor on accelerator pedal
• Do not tow or pull with this vehicle

Ensuring that the above guidelines are met are in the clients best interest and will allow the highest amount of time and mileage within the life of the transmission failure to do this could result in the damage of the reconditioned transmission and warranty being void.
